Outdoor activities are the best way to discover the landscapes diversity of le Pays de Forcalquier. Whether you prefer hiking or biking, you will always find the activity that suits you.
Around the Hotel, you will find a number of sports areas. There is a tennis court as well as a multi-game area for lovers of volley ball, badminton and table tennis.
On top of that, Charembeau is proud to present to its visitors The Charembeau Nature Walk: a track (1 km) around its domain, showing the various stages in a forest’s life and development.
The tour “Forcalquier-Montagne de Lure” , 80 kilometers of sign-posted is one of the best ways to discover the most beautiful landscapes Provence has to offer. Thanks to the le Pays de Forcalquier’s secondary roads with limited traffic, our team will be able to give you our best advice when it comes to finding your way on roads and paths that we have explored for over two generations. If off-the-road biking is your passion, you will most certainly enjoy the 195 kilometers of sign-posted, off-the-road single tracks which are maintained and improved by the large mountain bikers community of the area and possibly finish your day on the beautiful and technically challenging enduro downhill track down the Montagne de Lure.
In order for you to enjoy cycling in Provence, we rent out both traditional and electric hybrid bikes. If you have any specific wishes concerning bike rent, know that we work with one of the biggest cycle shops in Provence Bachelas Cycles to offer you everything you need.
You would rather bring your own bike? Don’t worry we have a designated secured garage for bikes with tools and everything you might need for the maintenance of your equipment.

The Charembeau Nature Walk can also be used as a training playground or to discover trail running as a sport. If you wish to meet other trailer enthusiasts on competition days, check for the various organized trails throughout the year like Trail de Haute Provence or Trail de Provence.
We have a partnership with the riding stable “Les Crins de Gaia”. You will be able to visit some amazing places with a guide that knows everything about the region.
Discover Forcalquier in the air! France Montgolfières offers balloon flights between April and October. There is no better way to start a summer day than in a balloon basket, watching sunrise and the Provençal landscape.
